Live Unveiling of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro

Car and Driver Article on the 2014 Camaro
Chevy has elevated the Camaro's interior, making your driving experience race worthy . Notable changes on the 2014 model include the front  and rear fascias. The Camaro is equipped with 500 horsepower for genuine get up and go. A hand-crafted  LS7 engine, the most-commanding normally vigorous regular production small block V8 ever, is the force that impels Camaro Z/28. Highest-quality parts and meticulous assembly boosts the redline level to 7000 rpm.
Sturdy, lightweight workings such as titanium intake valves and connecting rods paired with a forged-steel crankshaft make the LS7 engine incredibly brawny  The standard 10.5-quart, dry-sump oiling system apportions pressurized oil from an external reservoir to bulwark vital components under high-g driving situations.
The LS7 is joined to a TREMEC TR6060 6-speed manual gearbox tha thighlights close-ratio gearing - optimized for the engine’s power aspects. The TREMEC is paired with a 5.1:1-ratio short-throw shifter to safeguard quick and exact feeling shifts
Power is distributed to the rear wheels by a limited-slip differential, which includes a helical gear set rather than traditional clutch packs. This always adjusts torque bias granting drivers to confidently put down more power to get through corners quicker.  Joined with the Performance Traction Management (PTM) system, drivers can change the level of throttle and brake intervention to fit their capability and driving situation, in effect making PTM custom to each driving situation.

Chevrolet Hits the Slopes with New National Geographic Channel Series “Mountain Movers”

A new series premiered last night on National Geographic Channel  presented by Chevrolet.  The various episodes will feature venues throughout the Western Region.
When snowboarding’s super stars like Shaun White, Louis Vito and Danny Davis perform insane freestyle tricks in the halfpipe, it’s a soaring, exploding sight to behold. Chris “Gunny” Gunnarson and his crew at Snow Park Technologies are responsible for designing and building the progressive snow sport venues that allow the athletes to take flight. Chevrolet has teamed up with Gunny and his crew to go behind the scenes to show how these world-class, high-intensity snow competition courses are constructed.

Starting Thursday, May 9 at 8 p.m. PT/ET, Chevrolet presents Mountain Movers – NatGeo's  new adrenaline-packed show. Working in the most outlying locations – many in the Western Region – under severe conditions, Gunny and his team battle avalanche control to building half pipes in blizzards. And Gunny and his team rely on their Chevy Silverado trucks through the journey. As Gunny explains: “Building snow parks is tricky business under the best of conditions. Mountain Movers is about taking on the big challenges and having the right tools to get the job done. I know Chevy trucks can handle the heavy duty work we do, and in the nastiest environments a mountain can offer because I use them every day.”
